We knew we had a sourcing challenge on our hands. Occasionally, an architect or designer will ask us for something we’ve never sourced before, or uncommon dimensions which will pose a challenge - - but Anthology Woods is not opposed to a challenge!
If you live in an early 1900’s American Bungalow or Craftsman style home there is a good chance that your original wood flooring is 3-1/4” Douglas Fir, a native of the Pacific Northwest and the Inter-Mountain West. CVG Douglas Fir is the classic choice for homes of this type and era. There is a great article on this style of home here.
Check out our latest collaboration with Woodzee! Woodzee is one of the coolest companies making wood products today. They have partnered up with Anthology Woods and created a line of gorgeous high-end sunglasses using our wood waste scraps. These normally discarded end-trimming scraps are now being converted into a value-added product with a great story! Follow the link to learn more about this awesome collaboration and purchase a pair of sunglasses made from Wood With A Story.
Announcing a limited stock of Clear Pine Wood Reclaimed Bleachers from Cal State:
Anthology Woods recently reclaimed a great inventory of beautiful clear Pine bleachers from a California State University campus! Check pricing and availability on our Limited Availability page or contact us to learn if this cool inventory is the perfect fit for your project.
Our Reclaimed Bleacher Wood "as-is" with numbers and letters
In solid & joined lengths, these planks are a special brand of retro cool. Numbers and letters are printed on approximately half of the boards, and are intermixed with the classic bolt holes where bleachers are fastened to the stands. These as-is planks are an economical way to clad a mudroom, recreation room, gym, or retail space geared to sports (NIKE has taken a liking to utilizing reclaimed bleachers in their store design, and we love it)!
Our Reclaimed Clear Pine milled from bleachers for light wood soffit cladding and wall paneling
Reclaimed clear pine is just the pale blond wood to provide subtle wood warmth on walls, ceilings, and exterior soffits. In wide widths (which can be cut down, if you prefer), and long lengths, milled with a tongue & groove profile (can include square channel reveal) or to your custom specification, it will lend a modern warmth more refined than rustic.
