SOURCE STORY

Our orchard recovered Walnut hails from California Walnut groves.  Walnut trees will produce nuts for 25 to 30 years, after which orchard owners remove the aged trees & replant.  This beautiful tree is converted from an agricultural asset to stunning wood wall paneling and flooring.

What kind of Walnut?  Orchards are typically planted with Claro Walnut (aka California Black Walnut) root stock and grafted with English Walnut for the fruit.  Some of our solid Walnut planks will exhibit a graft line to tell the story of this process and make for an even more interesting installation
