Pela Teak

Pela Teak Engineered Flooring Adds a Rustic Textures to Hardwood Flooring

The owners of this home in Santa Barbara wanted the rich red-brown and deep caramel to cognac color tones of a tropical hardwood for their remodeled flooring, with some natural patina & texture to make the wood wear well and age gracefully. Our reclaimed engineered Pela Teak was the perfect fit, with traces of old saw marks, decades of natural patina, and the beautiful rich color tones from years of seasoning.

The zero VOC clear natural oil they selected for a finish imparts depth & richness to the color while retaining a very matte and almost unfinished appearance. The natural weathering and texture in the boards contributes to a rustic influence that hides wear well and results in a durable, easy to maintain wood floor. A hefty wear layer on the engineered flooring means they can sand in the future if they need to, but with an oil finish and a little regular care, they should never need to! This beautiful distressed reclaimed Teak can also be used as wall paneling and ceiling cladding and is available unfinished or pre- finished to your specification.

Why "Pela" Teak? Pela is the word for naked in Thai - as in reclaimed Teak in all of its raw natural splendor and beauty. For more images of this product, please view our Pela Teak product page. For samples or information, please contact us!
